You should look at window and door trim, columns, soffit and fascia areas, gutters or anything else on the outside of your home. SuperiorPRO is a full-service replacement contractor from the roofline down. We have trained crews for each of the cornerstones of our business: painting, siding, stucco and windows.

  • If I install HardiePlank® will I be eligible for an insurance discount?

Some insurers allow a fire insurance discount. You should discuss this with your own insurance agent.

  • What do I do about trees and bushes?

We cover all plants with drop clothes and plastic. Out-of-control landscaping must be pruned back to allow our crew(s) access to surfaces. Kindly share any landscaping concerns with your estimator so that when the project manager and crew come out to perform the work, they can access the areas that need to be painted.

  • Will my house be a construction zone?

Safety is our highest priority! Please take care to protect yourself, your children and pets by keeping a safe distance from workers, ladders, power tools, trucks, materials, dumpsters and equipment. Some animals are agitated by the presence of strangers and accompanying noises and need to be restrained appropriately.Children should not be outside at any time work is in progress as falling debris could cause injury. The
removal of existing siding and repair materials means old, possibly rusty, nails on the ground. Please, no bare feet! We sweep the perimeter of the house daily for nails with a rolling magnet.

  • Will you need access to electrical?

All carpenters, siding crews and repair crews must have adequate electrical supply. If areas of your house do not have receptacles available please run an extension cord out of an exterior door, window or garage door. Access to your circuit breaker may be required. Please inform our project manager and workers of the location and provide access to this area.

  • Will the crews need access to my driveway?

Yes, it is essential to receive deliveries of material and debris removal. For the safety of your vehicles, we recommend parking away from the house while crews are at work. This will also be more convenient for coming and going. If it’s a siding installation project, we will have a dumpster on site for the removal of the old siding.

  • Will the work create house vibration?

Yes, the nailing and ladders can vibrate the walls while siding is installed, stucco repairs or painting repairs. It is imperative that wall hangings or shelf items are secure or removed prior to the start of your project. Light fixtures, pictures, mirrors, paintings, knick-knacks as well as items on the floor below wall hangings are at risk. Please secure prior to start date.

  • What do you do with satellite dishes, antennas, alarm systems, etc.?

SuperiorPro will need to remove any items that interfere with the proper installation of the siding system. This also includes connections for alarm systems when window sills or doors are being replaced. We are not responsible for the re-installation and/or recalibration of any items listed above. We recommend calling all service companies affiliated to resolve such issues.

  • I’m selling my home. Can you help with staging?

While decorating is all about your likes, home staging revolves around what will appeal to the buyers. Make no mistake about it—home staging and decorating are not the same thing. It takes a trained professional to know the difference and the best method of preparing a home for the Atlanta real estate market. Let us stage your home and transform it into a marketable commodity with our highly trained Staging Expert.

  • What do you do with the information I submit?

All the information you share with us is confidential and will only be used by SuperiorPro. We will never sell or release your information.

  • 1.Painting
  • How long will it take to paint the exterior of my house?

The process can take as little as 3-4 days for an average sized house – from the time we start. However, it can take longer depending on the condition of your surfaces, the type of work required and weather conditions.
During our consultation with you we will evaluate your situation and let you know how long we think it will take to complete your painting project.

  • What kind of paint does SuperiorPRO use?

SuperiorPRO Exteriors has been your first-rate painting provider since 1998. We use premium quality products by Sherwin Williams and techniques that will provide a beautiful, long-lasting finish. We employ only seasoned, professional painters. SuperiorPRO is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau.

  • Why do quotes vary from different house painters for the same services?

There are many factors that affect a quote. First, is the company licensed, insured and registered with the State of Georgia? What type/brand of paint is the company using? Is it a quality paint? How many coats of paint are included? (Sometimes one coat will not cover well depending on various factors.) What repairs are included? Less repairs are not necessarily a good thing. No company should paint over rotted wood. Rotted wood needs to be replaced for the paint job to last. Another point - will there be a project manager
overseeing the crew on your job to help to assure it’s a carefree and positive experience? SuperiorPRO has highly trained and professional project managers on every job we execute. If you have further questions, please ask and we will be happy to help.

  • Can you give me color advice? What colors are best?

SuperiorPRO has color consultants at your request. Regardless of the project, it all begins with color. But, which one? How do you select a single color from the hundreds contained in a fan deck? Will the color you select enhance your existing décor? How do you insure you will have good flow from room to room? Our certified color consultant can lead you to make the right choices before you make expensive mistakes. SuperiorPRO Exteriors can help with interiors, exteriors and commercial properties. When our professional painters arrive at your location, they are ready to go with a paint color you’ll love.

  • Can you help with decorating and interior redesign?

When it comes to home décor, the possibilities are endless. Where do you begin? Do you pick a decorating style then fill in with furniture? Do you select fabric then build a room around it? Do you choose a paint color then match everything to it? Or maybe you already own some great furniture, artwork and accessories, but have no idea how to arrange and display them. One thing is certain—you need the help of a trained professional. We will get you started and guide you through the process with our design consultant.

  • How do I prepare for pressure cleaning?
    • Make sure all windows and doors are fully shut and secure. Note: Do any windows or doors leak during a rainstorm? If so, please let the Project Manager know prior to us pressure washing.
    • Clear away all items from around your house, especially outdoor furniture that could be damaged from the dirt coming off your house. Also, move any items that you could trip over.
    • Turn off the power to light fixtures and electrical outlets at your home's main service panel.
    • Please trim any landscaping away from the walls of your home. Otherwise, SuperiorPRO can trim back bushes and small trees just enough to be able to paint. But, a fee is charged based on the amount of trimming needed.
  • How do I prepare for painting doors and windows?

Please remove all screens prior to the start of our work. Please note any damage (tears or rips, missing or broken latches) which may have occurred prior to our work having begun.
Exterior doors and windows will need to remain unlocked each morning to prepare and paint them properly.
We will allow adequate drying time so these entry sites can be secured in the evening; doors are generally painted first part of the day.

  • Can I paint over wallpaper or wall coverings?

At SuperiorPRO, we do not recommend painting over any wallpaper or wall covering. First, the job can never be made to look good. Second, it's a sign of lazy workmanship. Third, painted wallpaper is a real bear to remove, so you'll make the job even tougher for yourself or someone else down the road. If the paper is unpainted now, we have house painters who are trained to carefully remove the wall covers and prep for a professional and top-notch paint job.

  • Which is better: enamel, latex or oil?

Enamel is a broad classification for finishing materials that dry to a smooth, hard finish and usually possess a gloss. In the past, this term referred exclusively to oil base products, however, new generation latex products are also at times referred to as enamels. Because of these factors enamel, as a paint term, has become somewhat ambiguous. Oil base products are those products that typically are composed of pigments dissolved in a mineral spirit such as paint thinner. While latex products are an emulsion suspended in water, the obvious differences are those oil base products require mineral spirits for cleanup, have a longer dry time and have a stronger odor while drying to a harder finish. Latex products typically will dry faster and are water cleanup. Oil base products are used primarily where a harder finish is required. However, today’s improved latex products have allowed for the substitution of latex in nearly all scenarios that had traditionally called for an oil base material. We always try to use environmentally friendly low VOC Latex.

  • How do I test to determine if my paint is oil or latex?

First, scrub a small area with a solution of household detergent and warm water. Rinse well and towel-dry it, then soak a cotton ball or soft rag in alcohol and rub it back and forth over the cleaned area. If paint comes off, its latex paint and another coat of the same is in order. If the paint doesn’t come off, it’s oil-based, note: small trace amounts of oil based paint have been known to also come off on the rag if rubbed hard. A base coat of primer is a must if you plan to use latex as your finish coat. You have the option for the finish coat
since different types of latex or oil-based paint can be used.

  • What are the different paint sheens?

Sheen refers to the light reflectivity of the painted or varnished surface. There are varying degrees of paint sheen, from no shine to high gloss. Paint manufacturers may refer to their paint sheens by different names. From lowest to highest, sheens correspond to these reflective degrees: flat finish, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, gloss, and high gloss finish.

  • What is Elastomeric?

Elastomeric waterproof system is normally used on exterior stucco and often when the surface has a lot of hairline cracks. Elastomeric was formulated to be applied in very thick coats. When applied correctly, it has the capacity, in most cases, to span these hairline cracks permanently. Elastomeric is a latex product that looks much like any other paint and it can be tinted to most colors.

  • How do I know if I have lead paint?

If your home was built prior to 1978, chances are it has lead paint. A lab test can be done or a simple inexpensive test kit can be purchased at a local hardware store. SuperiorPro does not work on lead positive homes. If we are at your home and need to test, the surface will be scored (paint surface broken) to do the measured lead test. This test is free and if the test is positive SuperiorPro Painting & Exteriors will have to pass on working on your home. Our company can only perform work on non-lead homes and businesses.

  • Do you only paint houses?

No, in addition to residential properties, we paint all types of commercial properties. Our customers range from home owners to small-medium sized business owners of medical facilities, institutions such as churches and schools and more.
